Hina Gir: 2014 PMF

Hina Gir was a Class of 2014 Presidential Management Fellow and began her federal career at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). For her second PMF rotation, Hina was honored to be detailed to the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House through two Administrations.

Starting in 2016, Hina served as the Special Assistant in the Cybersecurity Policy directorate at NSC, and remained in this role through the Presidential transition in 2017. In 2017, she was selected to serve as Special Assistant to former National Security Advisor, General H.R. McMaster. In 2018, Hina was selected as the Chief of Staff for the International Economic Affairs directorate. Through each role, Hina had the opportunity to witness the policymaking process at the highest level in U.S. government. Towards the end of 2018, Hina was ready for a new challenge, and to explore opportunities outside the government, but still had the desire to serve the nation, and started an exciting new chapter with Deloitte. Currently, a Manager for Cyber and Strategic Risk at Deloitte, Hina serves federal government clients and enjoys the impact she makes through this role.
