Graduation
Class of 2020:
The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony will take place at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, DC, at 2:00pm (Eastern Time) on Friday, June 9, 2023. The ceremony is an excellent chance to connect with other Fellows, celebrate accomplishments, and prepare for next steps in the Federal service journey.
Attendance is optional. Agencies are encouraged to allow their Fellows to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. Fellows who are not attending may request a graduation certificate by following the instructions below.
All Class of 2020 Fellows will be sent an automated email from the Events Management System built into the PMF Talent Management System (TMS) with instructions on how to RSVP or request a graduation certificate. The automated email will be sent to their work and personal email addresses (as recorded in the PMF TMS) to ensure delivery. Additionally, all Agency PMF Coordinators and Supervisors will be sent a similar email for awareness. From the graduating class of PMFs, a class speaker will be identified (information about the Class Speaker will be included in the event details).
The deadline to register is Noon (Eastern Time), Friday, May 12, 2023. There is no attendance cost for graduating Fellows, other than any costs associated with travel (which would be incurred by a Fellow’s agency). Fellows should contact their Agency PMF Coordinator and Supervisor to request approval to participate and to make any needed travel arrangements. This is a formal event, and business attire is required.
All participants will need photo identification to clear security at the U.S. Institute of Peace. The nearest Metro Station is Foggy Bottom (Metro information can be found at www.wmata.com). Please note that there is no public parking garage.
In addition, there will be a keynote speaker, class speaker, and light refreshments.
Only those 2020 Fellows and Alum who have a status of “Certified” or “Converted” in the PMF TMS and whose agency has submitted the one-time placement fee associated to their initial appointment as a PMF will be eligible to participate or request a certificate.
Guests: Graduating Class of 2020 Fellows will be given priority to attend the graduation on a first come, first served basis. However, as space permits, family, friends, and colleagues may be allowed to attend the Graduation Ceremony. Once registration closes for Fellows, we will confirm space availability and inform attending Fellows if guests are permitted, which would be limited to 1-2 guests per Fellow. All guests will need to provide photo identification to clear security if allowed to participate.
Certificates: All participating Fellows will be presented a Certificate of Completion during the ceremony.
During the registration process, all Fellows and Alum will be asked to first confirm their home mailing address; this can be done by logging into the Apply Site of the PMF TMS and clicking on “Manage Documents and Personal Info,” and then clicking on “Mailing Address and Phone Numbers,” to view and apply any edits.
Fellows who will NOT be able to participate in the ceremony but would like a graduation certificate can separately register for a graduation certificate only. The registration for a “graduation certificate only” will be available for 1-year beyond the graduation ceremony and will appear on the Apply Site of the PMF TMS under “Events.” Please note the graduation certificates will be mailed to non-attendees who registered to receive one after the 2020 Graduation Ceremony takes place.
For questions related to Graduation, please send an email to pmf@opm.gov with the subject line “Graduation.”
Class of 2019:
Certificate Request: Graduated Fellows and Alum from the Class of 2019 (i.e., last year) who did not participate in the Graduation Ceremony but would like to request a graduation certificate can request one on the Apply Site of the PMF TMS under “Events.”
Requests for a certificate will be honored through June 4, 2023. Any such certificates will be mailed to the home address associated with the Fellow.
NOTE: The above certificate request is ONLY for graduated Fellows from the Class of 2019.
