Class of 2016 Graduation

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Class of 2016 Graduation Ceremony will take place at the U.S. Institute of Peace, in Washington, DC, at 2:00pm (Eastern Time) on Friday, June 21, 2019.  The ceremony is an excellent chance to reconnect with other Fellows, celebrate their accomplishments, and prepare for the next steps in their Federal service journey.  

Attendance is not mandatory.  Agencies are encouraged to allow their Fellows to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.  Fellows not attending may request a graduation certificate by following the instructions below.

All 2016 Fellows will be sent an email to their work and personal email addresses to ensure delivery and all Agency PMF Coordinators will be informed.  There will be a Class Speaker chosen from those 2016 Fellows who volunteer to speak; information was included in their invitational email to register.

The registration deadline was Noon (Eastern Time), Friday, May 24, 2019.  There is no cost for Fellows.  Fellows should contact their Agency PMF Coordinator and Supervisor to request approval for participating and to make any needed travel arrangements.  This is a formal event, business attire required.

All participants will need photo identification to clear through security.  The nearest Metro Station is Foggy Bottom (Metro information can be found at  There is no public parking garage.

In addition, there will be a keynote speaker, class speaker, photographer, and light refreshments.

Only those 2016 Fellows who have a status of “Certified” or “Converted” and their agency has submitted the placement fee to the PMF Program Office will be eligible to participate or request a certificate.

Guests:  Graduating Class of 2016 Fellows will be given priority to attend the graduation on a first come, first served basis.  Based on the number of participating Fellows and space limitations, we are able to accommodate one (1) guest per participating Fellow.  A separate email has been sent to participating Fellows about guests as we must inform the Institute of additional guests planning to participate.

Certificates:  All participating Fellows will be presented a Certificate of Completion at the ceremony.

Fellows who will NOT be able to participate in the ceremony, but would like a certificate can request one through the registration link at

Requests for a certificate will be honored for up to one year beyond the graduation ceremony (e.g., by June 21, 2020).  Any such requests will be mailed to the Fellow's home address in order to prevent any delays or irradiation if mailed to their work address. Requests will be processed shortly before the graduation ceremony in case a graduating Fellow changes their mind to attend in person.
