Become a PMF

Application Help

The content of this webpage is intended for (1) applicants for the 2018 PMF application, and (2) current Finalists/Fellows. Current Finalists/Fellows should scroll to the bottom of this screen.

UPDATE:  The PMF Class of 2018 application announcement opens at Noon (Eastern Time), Monday, October 23, 2017, and closes at Noon (Eastern Time), Monday, November 6, 2017. The closing date of the application has been extended from Wednesday, November 1, to Monday, November 6, to provide adequate time for applicants in areas impacted by recent natural disasters (e.g., Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Jose) to submit their applications for this year's recruitment cycle. This extension applies to all applicants.

Help Desk Coverage During Application

During the application process, applicants are presented a blue menu bar at the top of the Apply Site screen. To the far right is a link for "Help". Upon clicking this link, applicants are redirected to this webpage.

For information about the PMF application and assessment process (including eligibility, application timeline, and frequently asked questions), please review the Become a PMF section of this website. For information about the 2018 PMF application's on-line assessment, please review the "2018 PMF Assessment Preparation Guide" under the Assessment Process webpage.

Please read all information below as there is a distinction between TECHNICAL and GENERAL support.

For TECHNICAL support during the 2018 PMF application and assessment process, you may submit an online ticket at at any time, or call the Help Desk at (202) 558-2203 or toll-free at (888) 804-4510 (within the United States only), Monday through Friday (excluding any holidays and weekends), from 8:30am to 6:00pm (Eastern Time). Be sure to provide as much information as possible, including your first and last name, email address, and a phone number to reach you if a return call is needed.

We encourage you to submit an online ticket as the preferred method as your request is documented and tracked.

You may be asked to prove your identity as a 2018 PMF applicant by providing your name, email address, and\or verifiable information associated to your applicant user account.

Please note the above Help Desk is covered by separate staff and is for TECHNICAL problems only. You may be directed to send an email to for further assistance. Help Desk coverage, for technical problems, will end shortly after the PMF application closes.

Technical problems may include some of the following:

  1. Creation of applicant user accounts (including password and email issues)
  2. Browser\connectivity issues
  3. Issues with uploading your application documents
  4. Issues with the on-line assessment

For GENERAL inquiries about the PMF Program and application cycle, please send an email to Sending an email serves as documentation and staff will be monitoring during normal business days with limited support after hours and during the weekend of the 2018 PMF application period. When sending an email, please include your first and last name, send from the email address associated to your applicant user account, and provide details of your inquiry; if possible and applicable, please include screen shots.

Please remember to review the Become a PMF webpages and the Assessment Preparation Guide referenced above. All applicants must complete the full application and assessment process prior to the application announcement closing.
