PMF Class of 2022 Application Dates, PMF Applicant Handbook, and Resources for Applicants and Academia

Posted on Jul 13 2021 - 12:00

The PMF Class of 2022 Application is scheduled to open at Noon (ET), Tuesday, September 28, 2021, and close at Noon (ET), Tuesday, October 12, 2021. These dates, and any updates, can be found on our “2022 Application” webpage at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/2022-application/. We expect to announce PMF Class of 2022 Finalists approximately six weeks after the application closes.

For the 2022 PMF application cycle, we have updated our assessment to improve the process in a variety of areas including addressing concerns around equity in all stages of the process. We are also enhancing our recruiting efforts with greater outreach to diverse communities, expansion of our engagement with Minority Serving Institutions, enhanced recruitment through the alumni network, and use of strategic recruitment platforms.

We have also posted the PMF Applicant Handbook to the PMF website. The handbook can be found under the “Become a PMF\Resources” section at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/resources/ and gives a high-level overview of the application process. Please note that this year’s PMF Applicant Handbook includes the “Assessment Preparation Guide.” The Assessment Preparation Guide portion of the handbook explains the 2022 PMF assessment process, and includes sample questions, the process for requesting a reasonable accommodation, and system requirements for completing the online assessment.

Additionally, during the month of September 2021, the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program will be hosting a series of informational webinars for prospective applicants about the upcoming PMF Class of 2022 Application. The informational webinars will provide a general overview of the PMF Program, details about the 2022 application cycle, and, if time permits, allow for any questions. Due to privacy and consent concerns, these sessions are NOT recorded. Space is limited and dates are subject to change. To view the schedule and to register, please go to the Become a PMF\2022 Application webpage.

Finally, we updated many of the resources for academia and applicants and added some new resources. For an overview of what’s new for the 2022 Application Cycle, visit: https://www.pmf.gov/academia/overview/. A few new resources include:

  • The PMF Apply Brochure, posted under the Become a PMF\Resources section of https://www.pmf.gov.
  • The Academia Checklist posted under the “Academia\Resources” section at https://www.pmf.gov.
  • The PMF Program Required Application Documents and Alternative Letter, posted under both of the “Resources” sections above at https://www.pmf.gov.

Please be sure to check our website for updates. General information about the PMF Program, eligibility, how to apply, and resources can be found under the “Become a PMF” section of our website at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/overview.aspx. Thank you!
