Become a PMF

2018 Application

Impacted Applicants

This webpage is designed to provide specific guidelines for all applicants who self-certified they are impacted by a natural disaster for the PMF Class of 2018 application cycle (otherwise referred to as Impacted Applicants). Please refer to the update posted at the top of the 2018 Application webpage regarding the extended closing date.

Per the update, you have been contacted by the PMF Program Office and directed to this webpage. This content is specific to impacted applicants only.

HOW AND WHEN TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTS

You must certify and submit a completed application, including the on-line assessment, prior to the application closing.

DUE DATES:

  • Noon (Eastern Time), Monday, November 6, 2017:  2018 PMF application closes
  • Noon (Eastern Time), Wednesday, November 8, 2017:  Due date to submit supporting documents for requesting a reasonable accommodation
  • Noon (Eastern Time), Monday, November 13, 2017:  Due date to submit eligibility documents and any supporting documents for claiming Indian Preference and/or Veterans' Preference

During the application process, you are required to submit a resume and a transcript (and/or alternative).  General information about these required documents can be found under Application Tips.  To submit documents, you may either upload your documents directly to the application or download a 2018 PMF Application Fax Cover Sheet to fax documents; information about document file types and size restrictions can be found under Application Process, and similar information can be found on the "Upload Documents" section of the application, including the fax cover sheet.

If you are making a claim for Indian PreferenceVeterans' Preference, and/or a Reasonable Accommodation for the on-line assessment, you must also submit supporting documentation to substantiate your claim.

Resume and Transcript (and/or Alternative)

If you are unable to submit a resume and/or transcript (including any alternative or combination for the transcript requirement), you will continue to have access to the "Upload Documents" section of your application and you must submit any of these missing documents by Noon (Eastern Time), Monday, November 13, 2017.  After this time, you will only have access to your applicant user account to update your "Contact Information" and monitor your "Application Status".

Supporting Documents for Claiming Indian Preference and/or Veterans' Preference

If you are unable to submit supporting documentation for claiming Indian Preference and/or Veterans' Preference, you will continue to have access to the "Upload Documents" section of your application and you must submit any of these missing documents by Noon (Eastern Time), Monday, November 13, 2017.   After this time, you will only have access to your applicant user account to update your "Contact Information" and monitor your "Application Status".

Supporting Documents for Requesting a Reasonable Accommodation for the On-Line Assessment

Information about requesting a reasonable accommodation are explained in the "2018 PMF Assessment Preparation Guide" (available under Assessment Process) and within the application.

If you cannot produce supporting documentation for requesting a reasonable accommodation, you will have 48 hours after the application closes to submit such documents.  The application closes at Noon (Eastern Time) on Monday, November 6, 2017.  Supporting documentation for a requested reasonable accommodation will be accepted until Noon (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.

The PMF Program Office will adjudicate your request based on the supporting documents you provide.  If we grant you an accommodation based on your request, we will notify you by email.  As of the email's date stamp, you will then have 48 hours to complete all four parts of an adjusted on-line assessment with a reasonable accommodation.  We will also notify you by email if we deny your request, either because you are not found to be eligible or because you have not submitted appropriate documentation.  If we deny your request for reasonable accommodation, you will have 48 hours from the date stamp of our notification email to complete all four parts of the on-line assessment without a reasonable accommodation.

Please check this webpage for any updates.
