Native American
(Indian) Preference
Indian preference may apply to positions within the Bureau of
Indian Affairs of the U.S. Department of the Interior and the
Indian Health Service of the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services. Eligible applicants who are members of a Federally
recognized tribe, and who are interested in pursuing employment
with these organizations when PMF positions are available, may be
required to submit a completed Form BIA 4432 (Verification of
Indian Preference for Employment in Bureau of Indian Affairs and
Indian Health Service). If these agencies have such positions,
the Form BIA 4432 is
available on-line.
