The PMF Program has a rich history going back to 1977 when
President Carter issued Executive Order 12008 establishing "The
Presidential Management Intern Program." Three follow-on Executive
Orders renamed and refined the program, laying out the rules by
which the program would be administered by the Office of Personnel
Management (OPM).
President Obama's Executive Order 13562 makes additional changes
to the PMF Program, which OPM is presently promulgating into
revised regulations. The "Program Regulations" will be updated once
revised regulations are issued.
The table below contains links to downloadable regulatory and
other information for agencies as well as the text of the four
Executive Orders related to the program.
